Common Texas tax questions

Does Texas tax wages as individual income?No. Texas does not impose an individual net-income tax, so ordinary wages do not produce a Texas individual income-tax charge.
Why does the calculator show $0 Texas income tax?That result reflects Texas law. It does not mean federal income tax, Social Security, or Medicare are also zero.
Is Texas sales tax included?No. Texas has a 6.25% state sales and use tax, and local jurisdictions may add up to 2%; purchases are outside this wage estimate.
